HOWELL, Mich. (CBS DETROIT) – A 48-year-old man from Clarkston, Jeremy Michael Heath, has been charged in connection with a tragic shooting incident at a tattoo shop in Howell, Michigan. The incident resulted in the death of a 46-year-old man identified as Sean Thompson from Howell.

Heath is facing charges of carrying a dangerous weapon with unlawful intent, felony firearm, and carrying a concealed weapon. Following his arraignment in the 53rd District Court, Heath was granted a $200,000 bond.

The incident took place on June 28 at Metro Studios Ink in Howell. According to reports, Thompson was allegedly causing a disturbance at the tattoo shop. Police stated that there had been previous disputes between Thompson and the tattoo staff.

Tragically, Heath reportedly fired a shot that resulted in the death of Thompson after threats were made. It was noted that Thompson did not appear to be armed prior to the shooting. Heath was apprehended at the scene and later taken into custody at the Livingston County Jail.

The authorities are currently conducting an investigation into the shooting incident to uncover all relevant details and circumstances surrounding the tragic event.
