A resident of Pittsfield, located in Berkshire County, Massachusetts, has been taken into custody following a shooting incident that occurred in June.
The Pittsfield Police Department received reports of gunfire on June 14, prompting officers to respond to the area of North Street and Bradford Street.

Upon arrival, law enforcement discovered two individuals from Pittsfield who had sustained gunshot wounds. Both victims were promptly transported to Baystate Medical Center for treatment and have since been discharged.
Subsequent investigations led to the identification of the alleged perpetrator as 18-year-old Deaken Sayers.
Following his apprehension on Friday, Sayers was formally charged with multiple counts of assault and battery, as well as firearms-related offences, during a court appearance at Pittsfield District Court on Monday.
