Officials in Waco, Texas have named 39-year-old Armando Casiano as the second suspect in the tragic murder of 32-year-old Lee Murrow, as stated in an arrest affidavit.

Recent reports from 25News revealed that Casiano was apprehended at a motel near the U.S.-Mexico border on June 22, nearly a week after his girlfriend, 39-year-old Kimisha Mathis, was taken into custody and charged with the murder of Murrow.

According to details in the arrest affidavit, Mathis confessed to investigators from the Bellmead Police Department that she had been instructed by Casiano to send text messages to Murrow in an attempt to lure him out of his residence on May 14. Casiano was reportedly concealed inside a vehicle’s trunk, armed with a handgun. A violent altercation ensued between Murrow and Casiano within the vehicle, resulting in Murrow sustaining a fatal gunshot wound to his chest.

The affidavit further outlined how Mathis and Casiano allegedly disposed of Murrow’s body. After initially placing the body in a field in Bellmead, they later relocated it to the trunk of a car and ultimately disposed of it in the Brazos River.

Murrow had been reported missing by Bellmead Police on May 15, with his body being discovered floating in the Brazos River on May 17, according to the arrest affidavit.

Presently, Mathis is being held at the McLennan County Jail on a bond of $800,000, while Casiano’s bond has been set at $1,000,000.

This development in the case sheds light on the disturbing events surrounding Murrow’s untimely demise and underscores the ongoing efforts of law enforcement to bring those responsible to justice.
