Accident – Death – Obituary News : A tragic incident occurred in the early hours of Monday, July 1, on I-95 in Indian River County, Florida, resulting in the loss of four lives, including a 7-year-old boy. The Florida Department of Highway Safety and Motor Vehicles reported that the fatal crash involved five vehicles and 11 individuals. The identities of the victims have not been disclosed by the authorities.

The collision took place at around 2:15 a.m. near mile marker 153, causing the northbound lanes of the highway to be closed for several hours. Local news footage showed the aftermath of the crash, with emergency services present at the scene to assist the injured and clear the wreckage.

The sequence of events leading to the tragic accident began when a 37-year-old driver from Miami rear-ended a Suzuki Vitara, resulting in both vehicles becoming disabled on the highway. Subsequently, a 40-year-old woman from Palm Bay driving a Dodge Journey collided with the Suzuki, causing a chain reaction of events.

As the drivers of the initial vehicles attempted to assist the occupants of the Dodge, a Freightliner semi-truck struck the left side of the vehicle, causing it to veer off the road. Tragically, the Dodge Journey occupants, including the 7-year-old boy and the driver, lost their lives in the collision.

The driver of the semi-truck, a 63-year-old man from Miami, was involved in the pile-up but was later released from the scene by authorities. Additionally, a Chrysler Pacifica swerved to avoid the wreckage but ended up colliding with the Toyota Camry, adding to the chaos of the incident.

Emergency services attended to the injured individuals, with two occupants of the Chrysler, a man and a woman from Ontario, Canada, being taken to a hospital for treatment. The remaining survivors from the Dodge Journey were also hospitalized, with some individuals in stable condition at St. Mary’s Hospital.
