A man reported being the victim of a robbery on Sunday morning while at Regions Bank on Clarksville Pike in the Bordeaux area of Nashville, according to an arrest affidavit.
Tyrice Barnes, aged 25, allegedly pointed a firearm at the man and proceeded to steal his phone, keys, and card before fleeing the scene. The victim promptly contacted emergency services and described the suspect as wearing all black attire, including a face mask and a camouflage-coloured backpack.
The responding officer, as per the arrest report, sighted the suspect less than a mile away from the bank. The officer spotted the suspect near Ashton Avenue and John Mallette Drive. She confronted the suspect, informing him that he matched the description of a robbery suspect in the vicinity.
The officer observed a gun print on the suspect’s waistband and enquired about the presence of a weapon. The suspect confirmed, cooperated with the officer, and was subsequently searched before being placed in the patrol car.

A set of keys was discovered on the suspect during the arrest process, as noted in the report.
Through further investigation, the suspect was identified as Tyrice Barnes.
Barnes faces charges of aggravated robbery and is currently being held in custody on an $85,000 bond.
