UNDERHILL, Vt. (WCAX/Gray News) – A tragic incident unfolded at Mount Mansfield Union High School in Jericho, Vermont, when an 18-year-old man, identified as Silas Salyer from Underhill, was found trapped under a car in the school parking lot. According to reports by WCAX, the young man was working on his vehicle when the jack supporting the car suddenly collapsed.

Vermont State Police responded to the scene following a distress call at around 4 p.m. on Thursday. Upon arrival, troopers immediately provided aid to Salyer before rushing him to the hospital in Burlington. Despite their efforts, Salyer tragically passed away as a result of the injuries sustained in the accident.
