Authorities have identified the victims of a devastating plane crash that occurred in Delaware County, New York. The New York State Police confirmed that five individuals lost their lives in the tragic incident.
The crash took place on Sunday, June 30, at around 2 pm, in the town of Masonville. Emergency services were alerted to the crash site on Lake Cecil Road, prompting a multi-agency search operation involving drones, ATVs, and helicopters. Debris from the aircraft was located during the search, leading to the discovery of the downed plane.
The victims have been identified as 76-year-old Roger Beggs, 43-year-old Laura Van Epps, 43-year-old Ryan Van Epps, 12-year-old James Van Epps, and 10-year-old Harrison Van Epps. They were all family members from Georgia who had been in Cooperstown for a baseball tournament over the weekend.
Investigations into the crash revealed that the plane had departed from Alfred Nader Regional Airport in Oneonta and was en route to West Virginia for refuelling. Its final destination was Cobb County International Airport in Atlanta, Georgia.
