Accident – Death – Obituary News : Five individuals tragically lost their lives in a devastating plane crash that occurred in Delaware County. The incident, which took place at approximately 2 p.m. on Sunday, involved a single-engine Piper Malibu Mirage aircraft.

New York State Police were alerted to a potential plane crash in the vicinity of Lake Cecil Road in the town of Masonville. Search efforts utilizing ATVs, drones, and helicopters eventually led to the discovery of debris and the wreckage of the downed aircraft.
Tragically, all five individuals on board the plane perished in the crash. The victims were identified as 76-year-old Roger Beggs, 43-year-old Laura VanEpps, 42-year-old Ryan VanEpps, 12-year-old James VanEpps, and 10-year-old Harrison VanEpps. They were a family from Georgia who had been in Cooperstown for a baseball tournament.
Authorities revealed that the ill-fated plane had departed from the Alfred S. Nader Regional Airport in Oneonta. Its intended route included a stop in West Virginia for refuelling before reaching its final destination at Cobb County International Airport in Atlanta, Georgia.
Both the Federal Aviation Administration and the National Transportation Safety Board will collaborate with state police in conducting a thorough investigation into the tragic plane crash.
