Accident – Death – Obituary News : FAIRFAX CITY, VA — Tragedy struck in Fairfax City over the weekend as a 62-year-old woman lost her life after being struck by a car while leaving a local carwash. The incident occurred on Saturday morning at the Flagship Carwash on Fairfax Blvd.

According to City of Fairfax Police, officers received a call at 10:56 a.m. reporting that three employees had been hit by a vehicle at the carwash. An initial investigation revealed that a customer exiting the carwash in their vehicle collided with another car before striking the three employees. All three victims were rushed to Fairfax Hospital for treatment of their injuries.

Sadly, one of the employees, identified as Martha Clemencia Nguyen, aged 62 and a resident of Fairfax, sustained critical injuries and tragically passed away as a result of the accident. The driver of the vehicle involved in the incident remained at the scene, and authorities have stated that speed and alcohol are not believed to have played a role in the crash.

In response to the heartbreaking incident, Mayor Catherine S. Read issued a statement expressing condolences to the victims, their families, and those who witnessed the tragic event.
