Last week, West Virginia State Police made a disturbing discovery in the Harts community of Lincoln County. A body was found in a wooded area off Taunton Drive, sparking an investigation to identify the victim.
Identification of the victim
State Police released images of tattoos on the victim’s body in an attempt to gather information that would lead to their identification. After thorough investigation, the body has been identified as Marissa Brandjes.
Arrest of suspect
West Virginia State Police announced on Monday morning that Tony Allen Williamson has been arrested in connection to the death of Marissa Brandjes. The arrest brings some closure to the case, but the investigation is ongoing.
