On Sunday afternoon, Knoxville Police officers responded to reports of gunfire outside Mead’s Quarry, a popular swimming spot in Knoxville, Tennessee. Fortunately, no injuries were reported, and one person was arrested in connection with the incident.

The incident occurred around 5:30 p.m. in the Mead’s Quarry parking lot, where witnesses reported hearing shots fired.

Upon arrival, officers encountered a man armed with a handgun. The suspect, later identified as 20-year-old Joseph Wools, fled from the parking lot and discarded the gun. He was quickly apprehended by responding officers, and the firearm was recovered.

According to investigators, two individuals claimed that Wools had fired shots at them following an argument. Thankfully, no one was struck by the gunfire, and there were no reported injuries.
