DIAMOND BAR, CA — In a devastating incident on the Pomona (60) Freeway, a woman lost her life while two others were rushed to the hospital following a multi-vehicle collision. The crash, which occurred in the early hours of the morning, resulted in a Honda Civic overturning onto its roof.
Officers from the California Highway Patrol were called to the scene at 3:07 a.m. on Saturday, near South Lemon Avenue, east of Fairway Drive. Upon arrival, they found a black Tesla and the overturned Honda blocking the middle lanes of the freeway, as reported by CHP Officer Erik Larsen to City News Service.
The woman, identified as 19-year-old Crystal Cruz Robledo, was tragically pronounced dead at the scene. Her city of residence has not been disclosed at this time. Emergency responders, including firefighters and paramedics, were on site at 3:09 a.m. and swiftly transported two individuals to a nearby hospital. The current condition of these individuals remains unknown.
A Sigalert was issued at 3:24 a.m., resulting in the closure of all eastbound lanes of the freeway. The Sigalert was eventually lifted at 7:28 a.m., allowing traffic to resume its normal flow.
