NECEDAH, Wis. (WMTV/Gray News) – A devastating house fire in Necedah, Wisconsin, has resulted in the tragic loss of six family members, as reported by authorities.
According to the Juneau County Sheriff’s Office, the fire was reported early Sunday morning via a distressing 911 call. The caller expressed concerns about two or three individuals who were believed to still be inside the residence on Morro’s Mile Road.
Upon arrival at the scene, deputies found the house completely engulfed in flames. They also encountered multiple individuals near the driveway, whom they promptly escorted to safety.
Following conversations with those present, deputies discovered that three adults and three children were missing and likely trapped inside the burning property.
Firefighters valiantly battled the blaze for three hours, with the operation lasting a total of 12 hours. Despite their efforts, it was confirmed the next day that all six individuals inside the home had tragically perished. The deceased were all members of the same family.
In respect for the grieving family, the names of the deceased have not been disclosed until all relatives have been informed of the devastating loss.
Authorities have deemed the fire to be accidental, and investigations are currently ongoing. The Wisconsin Department of Justice – State Fire Marshal has been called upon to provide additional expertise in determining the cause of the tragic incident.
