Kimberly A. Hallenbeck: A Life Remembered

Kimberly A. Hallenbeck, a beloved resident of Newburgh, passed away on Tuesday, January 9 at Memorial Sloan Kettering Hospital after a courageous two-year battle with cancer. Born in Westchester and raised in Orange County, Kimberly’s vibrant spirit touched the lives of many.

A Life Full of Love and Laughter

Kimberly, known for her infectious smile and laughter, was a warm and giving person who easily made friends wherever she went. She had a special flair that turned the ordinary into something extraordinary. Her greatest joy in life was being a mom to her 7-year-old daughter, Amelia. Kimberly’s love and care for her daughter were immeasurable.

A Loving Family

Kimberly is survived by her mother, Elizabeth Laurie, and stepfather, John Laurie, both of New Windsor. She is also survived by her partner, Lloyd R. Widmer, who stood by her side throughout her illness. In addition, she leaves behind her brother Michael Saylor (Jes) of New Windsor. Kimberly’s family meant the world to her, and she will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

Celebrating Kimberly’s Life

A visitation will be held on Wednesday, January 17 from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Quigley-Sullivan Funeral Home, Inc. in Cornwall-On-Hudson. On Thursday, January 18, a chapel service will be held at 10 a.m. at the funeral home. The interment will follow the service at Memorial Shrine Park Cemetery in Wyoming, Pennsylvania. It will be a time to gather together, share stories, and celebrate the beautiful life Kimberly lived.

Supporting Amelia

In lieu of flowers, a fund has been established to support the love and care of Amelia, Kimberly’s cherished daughter. Contributions can be made to the Amelia Widmer fund through Citizens Bank, PO Box 27, Vails Gate, NY 12584.

As we mourn the loss of Kimberly A. Hallenbeck, let us remember her as a woman who brought joy and happiness to those around her. Her legacy of love and laughter will live on in the hearts of all who had the privilege of knowing her.
