‘Insights’ host Rochelle Brown dies at 75
DALLAS – Our FOX 4 family is deeply saddened by the loss of our longtime colleague, Rochelle Brown. With a heavy heart, we announce the passing of Rochelle Brown, who was not only the Community Affairs director but also the executive producer and host of the award-winning ‘Insights’ public affairs program.
For decades, Rochelle Brown dedicated her career to bringing us stories of people both nationally and from our own neighborhoods. Her extraordinary talent as a journalist and her commitment to her work made her a noteworthy figure in the industry.

Former State Rep. Helen Giddings expressed her deep sadness at Rochelle’s passing, describing her as an extraordinary woman and a remarkable journalist.
Rochelle Brown joined KDFW in January 1978, bringing with her experience as an anchor-reporter from Rochester, New York. She had previously worked as a researcher at NBC Network News. Born in Denton, Rochelle graduated from SMU in 1971.
A Legacy of Excellence
Insights, the public affairs program hosted by Rochelle Brown, holds the distinction of being the longest-running show of its kind in North Texas. It served as a model for similar programs both locally and nationally.
Rochelle’s dedication to her craft was recognized with the prestigious Alfred I. duPont-Columbia University Award for her news segment titled “Children Having Children.” Her commitment to ensuring that the community had access to the airwaves and a platform to share their voices was acknowledged by State Senator Royce West.

Rochelle Brown’s impact extended beyond her professional achievements. She opened doors for others, giving them opportunities to shine. Visitation for Rochelle Brown will be held at Golden Gate Funeral Home on Friday, and services will take place at North Park CME Church on Saturday at 1 p.m.
