Tragic Loss: Namibian Cheetah Shaurya Passes Away at Kuno National Park
Kuno National Park in Madhya Pradesh, India, has suffered yet another heartbreaking loss with the passing of Namibian cheetah, Shaurya. This unfortunate event marks the seventh death among the twenty cheetahs that were imported from Africa since their arrival in September 2022.
On January 16, 2024, at approximately 3:17 PM, the tracking team noticed incoordination and a staggering gait in Shaurya. Promptly, the animal was tranquilized, and weakness was observed upon examination. Despite efforts to revive the cheetah, complications arose, and the animal failed to respond to CPR. The exact cause of death will be determined after a thorough post-mortem examination.
