Police Officer Collapses and Dies in Nairobi
A police officer attached to Ruai Police Station in Nairobi, Constable Joshua Apella Odwar, tragically collapsed and died while waiting to board a bus in Nairobi’s Central Business District. The incident occurred on January 12 at approximately 3 pm.
Constable Odwar had recently been discharged from a private hospital in Utawala, where he had been admitted following a hit and run accident. He had visible injuries on his left leg, and hospital documents indicated that he had been referred to Kenyatta National Hospital for further treatment.

While waiting to travel to Kisumu, Constable Odwar suddenly collapsed and succumbed to his injuries. His body was subsequently moved to Chiromo Morgue, where an autopsy will be conducted to determine the exact cause of death.
Investigation into Policeman’s Death Underway

Discovery of Woman’s Body Outside Kileleshwa Police Station
Another shocking development occurred when the body of a 24-year-old woman, Immaculate Atieno, was discovered under a culvert of drainage outside Kileleshwa police station in Nairobi. A witness reported seeing the woman drowning into the culvert on January 11.
Efforts were made by both residents and the police to rescue Immaculate; however, their attempts were in vain. The body was subsequently transported to the mortuary for further examination.

Murder Investigation in Syokimau
In a separate incident, the police in Syokimau, Machakos County, are investigating the murder of a man identified as Michael Muhindi. The lifeless body of Mr. Muhindi was found on the roadside, indicating that he had been attacked by two assailants armed with crude weapons on the morning of January 11.
Upon visiting the scene, the police observed physical injuries on Mr. Muhindi’s head, suggesting that the attack had been fatal. A suspect has since been apprehended and is assisting the police with their investigation.
The body of Michael Muhindi is currently held in a mortuary, awaiting an autopsy and further investigation to shed light on the circumstances surrounding his tragic demise.
