Aurangabad Parking Dispute Turns Violent: Four Killed in Clash
In a tragic incident in Bihar’s Aurangabad district, a dispute over car parking escalated into a violent clash, resulting in the deaths of four individuals. The altercation, which took place on Monday, involved two groups, with three of the deceased being travellers from the neighboring state of Jharkhand.

The incident unfolded in Nabinagar locality, where a shopkeeper objected to a motorist parking his car in front of his store. According to Aurangabad DSP Mohd Amanullah Khan, one of the car’s occupants allegedly pulled out a gun and opened fire, killing an elderly person. This act of violence triggered the locals, who retaliated by assaulting the occupants of the car. Unfortunately, three of them lost their lives, while two others sustained injuries.
Contrary to initial speculations, the police have confirmed that there was no communal angle to the clash, despite the involvement of members from different communities. To ensure the maintenance of law and order, additional police forces have been deployed in the area. The car had originated from Palamau district in Jharkhand, and the occupants were residents of Hydernagar locality.
According to DSP Khan, the driver of the car had parked the vehicle in front of a shop in Taitariya Mod upon reaching Nabinagar. The shopkeeper objected to this, resulting in a heated exchange. In the course of the argument, one of the car’s occupants pulled out a gun and fired a shot, which tragically struck a bystander named Ram Sharan Chauhan, causing his immediate death. This incident incited the onlookers, who then attacked the car’s occupants.
The mob unleashed their anger upon the occupants, using whatever objects they could lay their hands on. By the time the police arrived at the scene and managed to disperse the mob, three occupants, namely Mohd Mujahid, Charan Mansuri, and Mohd Ansari, had already succumbed to their injuries. Two others, Vakil Ansari and Ajeet Sharma, sustained injuries in the attack. While Vakil Ansari’s condition was stable and he was admitted to the Sadar Hospital in Aurangabad, Ajeet Sharma’s injuries were critical, and he was referred to a hospital in Gaya.

The police are currently conducting investigations to determine who fired the shot that killed Ram Sharan Chauhan and to identify those involved in the assault on the car’s occupants.
