42-year-old Vaughn R. Malloy, the suspect, tragically lost his life as a result of gunfire from the police. Devlin’s report further reveals that the officers were responding to an arrest warrant in connection with a shooting reported in Norwich on April 28, 2022. The suspect was believed to have fired a gun into the front of a residence, injuring a female victim.

K-9 Broko, a graduate of the Connecticut State Police Patrol’s 218th K-9 Class in January 2021, had been serving as a dedicated member of the police force.
