Those words sent a chill down my spine, but nothing could prepare me for what followed. Just moments later, I received another message: "I was in the library, and 4 cops came in with rifles, screaming for everyone to RUN." My heart raced as I imagined her standing at the front desk, surrounded by chaos.
For the next three hours, the world outside became a whirlwind of conflicting reports. There were whispers of an active shooter on campus, followed by frantic updates suggesting there was no shooter at all.
