This statement raises eyebrows and questions the criteria by which candidates are selected. It’s alarming that individuals whose practices may contribute to housing insecurity are considered “high-quality” candidates. This scenario reflects a troubling trend where the needs of the community are overlooked in favor of those who can maintain the status quo.

Activists understand the struggles of everyday people. They know firsthand how rising rents and inadequate housing policies impact families. When these voices are silenced or excluded from political representation, it creates a disconnect between policymakers and the communities they serve.

As citizens, we must advocate for a political system that prioritizes housing security and supports true community leaders. Ensuring that activists can stand for Parliament is essential for fostering a fair and just society.

If you’re passionate about housing security and want to see real change, consider supporting candidates who will fight for these issues. Engage in local politics, raise awareness, and make your voice heard. Together, we can push for a system that truly reflects the needs of every resident in our communities.
