Tim Houser’s Legacy: A Beloved Volleyball Coach Allegedly Passes Away
Tim Houser, a cherished volleyball coach known for his time at Bishop Dwenger and Concordia, allegedly passed away on Tuesday at the age of 65. His obituary mentions that he was a Fort Wayne native who had been residing in Brownsburg before his death at IU Health West Hospital in Avon.
Houser’s journey began at Bishop Dwenger, where he graduated in 1978. He later earned a degree from Vincennes University. On November 7, 1981, he married Pamela (Slattery), and they built a beautiful life together. In 2013, he took on the role of head coach at Bishop Dwenger, and his impressive coaching record of 236-61 speaks volumes about his dedication and passion for the sport. Under his guidance, the Saints clinched four sectional championships, two regional championships, one semistate championship, and celebrated a remarkable victory with the 2020 Class 3A state championship.

Tim is survived by his wife, three daughters, and seven grandchildren, along with a brother and sister. His impact on the community and the lives he touched through coaching will be remembered fondly. A funeral mass is set to take place at 11 a.m. on Monday at Queen of Angels Catholic Church, located at 1500 West State Blvd.
