Middletown High School Senior TC Reid Allegedly Loses Life in Car accident

Middletown is reeling from the heartbreaking news of Tifuci “TC” Reid, an 18-year-old senior, who allegedly died in a car accident on Monday in the Town of Wallkill. According to Middletown Superintendent of Schools, Amy Creeden, this loss has “left us all in shock and sorrow,” highlighting the profound impact TC had on his school community.

In a heartfelt letter shared on the district’s Facebook page, Creeden described TC as a “cherished member of our school family.” His warm smile and infectious kindness made him a beloved figure among classmates and teachers alike. “Our hearts are with his family, friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing him during this tough time,” she wrote, underscoring the collective grief felt by many.

The unfortunate accident occurred around 6:09 p.m. on Goshen Turnpike near Midland Lake Road. Reports indicate that a vehicle veered off the road and collided with a telephone pole. While TC tragically succumbed to injuries sustained in the crash, two other passengers, aged 18 and 20, reportedly suffered serious injuries. The Town of Wallkill police are currently investigating the incident.

This tragedy comes just weeks after another loss for the Middletown High School community, as freshman Alejandra Contreras reportedly passed away.
