Investigation Underway After Fatal Plane crash in Mesa, Arizona

MESA, Ariz. — An investigation is currently taking place to uncover the details surrounding a tragic plane crash that occurred near Falcon Field Airport. According to reports from KPHO/Gray News, a Honda HA-420 jet was attempting to abort its takeoff when it crashed through an airport perimeter fence and collided with a vehicle on Tuesday afternoon.

The crash happened around 4:45 p.m. at the intersection of Greenfield and McKellips roads. Aerial footage from the scene revealed heavy smoke rising where the jet and vehicle had collided, painting a stark image of the incident’s aftermath.

Five individuals were aboard the plane; sadly, four of them lost their lives on the scene. The deceased have been identified as Spencer Lindahl, 43, Rustin Randall, 48, Drew Kimball, 44, and young Graham Kimball, just 12 years old. The fifth passenger survived but was hospitalized with burn injuries, emphasizing the severity of this unfortunate event.

Additionally, the driver of the vehicle involved in the crash also perished, though their identity has not been disclosed pending next-of-kin notifications. This devastating incident highlights the potential dangers associated with aviation and road safety near airports.
