MESA, Ariz. — The community is reeling from a tragic plane crash that allegedly resulted in multiple fatalities near Falcon Field Airport on Tuesday afternoon. According to Arizona authorities, a Honda HA-420 jet reportedly tried to abort its takeoff before crashing through an airport perimeter fence and colliding with a vehicle. Eyewitnesses described the harrowing scene around 4:45 p.m. at the intersection of Greenfield and McKellips roads, where heavy smoke could be seen rising from the wreckage.

The National Transportation Safety Board has launched an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the crash.
