Couple Allegedly Murdered for Honor in Larkana District
In a heartbreaking incident in Larkana district, a couple was shot dead, reportedly for honor, raising serious concerns about the safety of individuals who choose love over tradition. The victims, Nazeer Ahmed Kodrani and his wife Farzana Zangejo, were targeted by six men on motorbikes while returning from a court hearing. According to the local police, the couple had been receiving threats from Farzana’s family prior to the attack.
DSP Paras Bakrani, who is investigating the case, mentioned that personal enmity seemed to be the motive behind this heinous act. He stated, “There is likelihood that the couple has been killed for honour.” This remark highlights a grim reality where love can sometimes lead to fatal consequences, particularly in conservative communities where honor killings are unfortunately still prevalent.

After the attack, the bodies were taken to Chandka hospital for a postmortem examination. The families were eventually allowed to perform last rites, but a formal FIR had not been registered by Tuesday night, leaving many questions unanswered. The investigation is currently under the purview of SSP Larkana Mir Rohail Khan Khoso, who is working alongside DSP Bakrani to gather evidence and apprehend all involved.
