Champion Diver Manjari Bhargava Passes Away at 68
Manjari Bhargava, a prominent figure in Indian diving and swimming, has allegedly passed away at the age of 68. Known for her incredible achievements, including several gold medals and the prestigious Arjuna Award in 1974, her legacy in sports is undeniable. Born in Ajmer in 1956, she was not just an athlete but also a beloved member of her family, being the granddaughter of the late Justice PL Bhargava.
According to her son, Vipul Bhargava, Manjari had been battling health issues, including a brain tumor that recurred after surgery last year. She spent her last moments in the comfort of her home in Pune. Manjari made headlines as a national diving champion at just 12 years old and consistently broke records, becoming the captain of the Indian diving team in 1974.

Her journey began in Ajmer, where she honed her skills under the guidance of local coaches. After marrying a marine engineer and settling in Mangalore, she continued to inspire many through her teaching career and personal achievements.
