Swift Current Rural RCMP Investigates Serious Highway Collision

Swift Current Rural RCMP are currently looking into a serious crash that occurred Tuesday afternoon on Highway 4, just south of Swift Current. Around 3:30 p.m., emergency services, including local fire and paramedics, responded to reports of a two-vehicle collision near the intersection of Highway 363.

According to the RCMP’s Wednesday news release, it was determined that a southbound SUV collided with a northbound car. Sadly, the driver and two passengers in the car were pronounced dead at the scene. The victims have been identified as a 41-year-old woman and her two daughters, aged 14 and 13, all from the Swift Current area. Their families have been notified of the tragic news.

The driver of the SUV, a man who was the sole occupant, was taken to the hospital with injuries described by RCMP as non-life-threatening. This incident has understandably left the community in shock, and the investigation is still ongoing.
