The music world is in mourning with the alleged passing of Tyka Nelson, the sister of the iconic musician Prince. It is reported that Tyka died at the age of 64, as shared by her son, President Nelson, to the Minnesota Star Tribune on November 5. While details remain sparse, her half-sister, Sharon Nelson, mentioned that Tyka had her own opinions and believed she was “in a better place.”

Tyka, younger than Prince by two years, was not just known as his sister; she was also a talented musician in her own right. Over her career, she recorded and released four studio albums between 1988 and 2011.
