DC police Investigate Alleged shooting Incident Involving Two Men
In a troubling incident that unfolded on Sunday night in Washington, D.C., police are currently investigating a shooting that left one man dead and another recovering in the hospital. The situation, which is still being pieced together, occurred in the 2000 block of Savannah Terrace Southeast around 10 p.m.
According to reports, officers arrived at the scene to find a man who had been shot. Thankfully, he was conscious and breathing when paramedics transported him to a nearby hospital, and he is expected to survive. However, just minutes later, another victim was discovered in the 3300 block of 22nd Street Southeast. This second man, identified as 25-year-old Lorenzo Campbell Jr. from Fort Washington, Maryland, was tragically found unresponsive and was later pronounced dead at the hospital.

Initially, authorities believed the second man’s injuries might have been from a stabbing. However, further investigation revealed that both men were victims of the same shooting incident.
