Jett Hamann Identified as Victim of East Aurora Train accident
After a tragic train accident in East Aurora, the victim has been identified as 19-year-old Jett Hamann. Reports claim that shortly after 2 p.m. last Wednesday, Jett was walking to his job at Left Coast Taco when he was struck by a train traveling above Oakwood Avenue. Despite the efforts of first responders, he was pronounced dead at the scene.
Jett was a graduate of Springville-Griffith Institute and was known for his vibrant presence in the community. His untimely death has left many in East Aurora in shock. Left Coast Taco, where Jett worked, closed early on the day of the accident and announced they would remain closed “until further notice.” As of now, the popular Mexican restaurant has yet to reopen its doors, reflecting the somber mood in the area.
