HADDAM, Conn. (WFSB/Gray News) – A heartbreaking situation unfolded recently when a 5-year-old boy, Jaxon Podbielski, tragically fell into the Connecticut River. According to reports from the Department of Energy and Environmental Protection (DEEP), this incident occurred on October 26 in Haddam.

After being pulled from the water, Jaxon was rushed to Connecticut Children’s Hospital, where he remained in critical condition for five days. Sadly, he was pronounced dead on Thursday.
