Brenda Starchief’s Obituary: A Life Remembered

Brenda Starchief, a cherished resident of Saskatchewan, passed away on November 2, 2024, in Saskatoon at the age of 56. Her family, heartbroken yet grateful for the time they shared, includes her loving partner, Larry, and her children: Cal, Ian (Theresa), Wendy, Robbie, Bobbie (Victoria), and Sabrina (Josh). Brenda’s siblings—Margaret, Eldon (Joyce), Helen, Shirley (Simon), Linda (Bruce), Juliette, Glenda, and Moranda (James)—along with numerous nieces, nephews, and grandchildren, also mourn her loss.

Brenda’s life was enriched by the love of her family and the memories they created together. She was predeceased by her grandparents, Walter and Annie Dearing, and Helen and Edward Moosomin, as well as her parents, Mary Starchief and George Dearing. A wake in Brenda’s honor is scheduled for November 4 at 11:00 AM at the Mosquito Band Hall on the Mosquito First Nation. Funeral services will follow on November 5 at the same location, where she will be laid to rest in the Mosquito First Nation Cemetery.
