Allegedly Fatal Collision in Crofton, Maryland

CROFTON, Md. — A heartbreaking collision involving two vehicles allegedly led to one death and one injury on a recent Saturday night. As reported by the Anne Arundel County police Department, this incident unfolded on November 2, 2024, around 9:20 p.m., near the intersection of northbound Crain Highway and Johns Hopkins Road.
The crash reportedly involved a 2023 Hyundai Sonata that rear-ended a 2015 Jeep Grand Cherokee. Witnesses claim that the impact was severe enough to cause the Hyundai to veer off the road. Tragically, the driver of the Sonata, 25-year-old Thomas Wilson Swick of Odenton, was pronounced dead at the scene by first responders. Meanwhile, the Jeep’s driver, a 25-year-old male from Laurel, is said to have sustained minor injuries and was taken to a local hospital for treatment.
