On a Friday afternoon, a heartbreaking incident unfolded near Mount Olivet Cemetery in Middle Village. Local authorities reported that a 39-year-old motorcyclist tragically lost his life following a collision. Keron Frederick, hailing from Jamaica, was found on the roadway after suffering severe trauma.

According to the 104th Precinct, officers responded to a 911 call at around 5:15 p.m. Witnesses claim Frederick was riding his 2013 white Suzuki G5X-R600 motorcycle southbound when, at the same time, a 29-year-old driver in a 2023 black Kia Forte was attempting to make a left turn onto westbound Eliot Avenue. Allegedly, the motorcycle collided with the passenger side of the Kia, leading to Frederick being ejected from his bike.

While the driver of the Kia remained at the scene and was not arrested, the NYPD’s Highway District Collision Investigation Squad is currently looking into the details of the incident. As of now, the investigation continues, and more information may surface as they dig deeper.
