Kathryn M. Wachter: A Life Well-Lived and Remembered
Kathy Wachter, a vibrant 72-year-old from Orange, is being remembered as a loving wife, dedicated entrepreneur, and cherished friend who recently entered peaceful rest on October 31, 2024. Surrounded by her family, she leaves behind a legacy that truly reflects her passion for life and adventure.
Born on January 16, 1952, in Milford, Kathy was the beloved daughter of the late Vincent and Lois June (Campbell) Wachter. Her career began in the beauty industry as a hairdresser, where she owned Kathy’s Hair Salon in both Woodmont and Palm Springs, CA. However, her adventurous spirit didn’t stop there. Motivated by her love for travel, she launched her own travel agency, Winds of Adventure Travel, based in Milford. This venture took her clients on unforgettable journeys across six continents, showcasing her knack for creating memorable experiences. Kathy also dedicated time to manage the travel office at the Milford Senior Center, further connecting with her community.

Outside of work, Kathy enjoyed spending quality time with her husband, Brian Cunningham, on the golf course and walking scenic trails with their dogs, Leo and Jameson. She is survived by her stepdaughter, Rachel Cunningham, and her two grandchildren, Jacob and Landon, along with her loving siblings and many friends.
Family and friends can pay their respects on Friday, November 15th, from 10:00 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. at The Gregory F. Doyle Funeral Home, followed by a service.
