Alleged Fatal crash Claims Life of Young Woman in Roselle

It’s heartbreaking to hear about the tragic crash that took place late Halloween night in Roselle. According to police reports, a 19-year-old woman named Jayla Pryor lost her life in a sudden and devastating accident along Route 27. The crash occurred around 11:40 p.m. at the intersection of St. George and Chandler avenues, where a 2012 Chevrolet Equinox allegedly struck a curb and veered through a fence line, ultimately coming to a stop in a nearby Wawa parking lot.

Jayla, who was a passenger in the vehicle, was identified by authorities. Her brother, 27-year-old Joshua Pryor, was behind the wheel and sustained only minor injuries, which raises so many questions about what led to this tragic incident. The scene was chaotic, resulting in Route 27 being closed in both directions for several hours, reopening only around 9 a.m. the following day. Even the Wawa parking lot and gas pumps faced temporary closures as the investigation unfolded.
