Alleged Fatal crash in Richardson Claims Three Lives
The crash was reported around 1 a.m. near Renner Road, according to the Texas Department of Transportation. This unfortunate incident unfolded late Thursday night on U.S. 75 in Richardson, Texas, where three lives were lost, including a six-year-old girl. According to the Richardson police Department, the tragedy occurred shortly before midnight in the southbound lanes of the highway.
Authorities received reports of a stalled Cadillac SUV in the southbound HOV lane, and before they could arrive on the scene, a Lexus SUV collided with the back of the Cadillac. Following that, a Dodge sedan crashed into the Lexus. What’s heartbreaking is that the driver of the Cadillac and six passengers were standing outside their vehicle when the collisions happened, leading to devastating consequences.

Sadly, 19-year-old Alyia Khalid, one of the passengers in the Cadillac, died at the scene. The driver and four other passengers were rushed to the hospital for treatment, while one passenger escaped injury. The Lexus driver, 27-year-old Haley Taylor, along with her six-year-old daughter, tragically succumbed to their injuries after being taken to the hospital.
In the chaos, a Nissan sedan also got caught up in the crash, hit twice—first by the Dodge and then by an 18-wheeler—but fortunately, no one in that vehicle was injured. The aftermath of this crash was severe, leading to the closure of southbound U.S. 75 for over eight hours, with traffic being diverted to the President George Bush Turnpike.
