SALEM Ore. (KPTV) – The Felony Crime Unit investigators in Salem made four arrests in connection with two separate stolen motorcycle cases. The suspects were found at a storage facility on 22nd Street Southeast, where they attempted to escape in a vehicle but were apprehended. A search of the vehicle and storage unit uncovered a short-barreled shotgun, a handgun, body armor, and stolen mail. Two additional suspects arrived at the scene on motorcycles, with one firing shots into the air before fleeing. The arrested individuals face charges including motor vehicle theft, unlawful use of a motor vehicle, and mail theft. Arraignment is scheduled for Friday, July 12 in Marion County Court.

Stolen Motorcycle Investigations Lead to Four Arrests in Salem

In a recent development in Salem, Oregon, the Felony Crime Unit investigators have made four arrests in connection with two separate stolen motorcycle cases. The Salem Police Department reported that the investigations led detectives to a storage facility located on 22nd Street Southeast.

During the operation, police discovered one of the stolen motorcycles and apprehended three suspects, including two adults and a minor. The suspects attempted to flee in a vehicle but were quickly caught by law enforcement.

A subsequent search of the vehicle and storage unit resulted in the seizure of a short-barreled shotgun, a handgun, body armor, and several pieces of stolen mail.

The incident took a dramatic turn when, at approximately 10:20 a.m. on Thursday, two individuals on motorcycles arrived at the storage facility in full view. One of the riders fired multiple gunshots into the air before both suspects sped away at high velocities.

Shortly after, the two suspects were spotted near State Street and Lancaster Drive. A pursuit ensued, leading to the apprehension of one suspect near Lancaster Drive and Rockey Street Southeast. The second suspect managed to evade capture.

The adults arrested at the scene were identified as Zakiry Davis, 18, of Salem, and Natalie Genene Hefley, 32, of Mill City. Both individuals were taken into custody on charges related to motor vehicle theft. Additionally, a 15-year-old boy was also arrested and transported to juvenile detention.

The man who attempted to flee, Zayn Free Bristow, 25, of Mill City, faces a litany of charges including unlawful use of a motor vehicle, felon in possession of a stolen vehicle, possession of body armor, eluding police, reckless driving, mail theft, and identity theft.

Bristow’s arraignment is scheduled for Friday, July 12, at Marion County Court.
