In a tragic incident in Warangal, a man, M. Nagaraju, allegedly murdered his girlfriend’s parents after they rejected the couple’s marriage proposal. The victims, B. Srinivas and Suguna, were residents of Chintala Thanda. The couple’s daughter, Deepika, had eloped with Nagaraju despite her father’s refusal to their marriage. When Deepika revealed she was pregnant and her parents tried to prevent her from returning to Nagaraju, he took drastic action. Early one morning, Nagaraju attacked and killed the parents with a sickle, injuring Deepika and her brother. Nagaraju was later arrested, and an investigation is ongoing.

In a shocking incident that took place in the serene village of Chintala Thanda in Warangal, a man allegedly murdered his girlfriend’s parents after they rejected the couple’s marriage proposal. The accused, identified as M. Nagaraju, hails from Gundenga village in Gudur mandal, Mahabubabad district, and works as an autodriver in Hanamkonda City.

Relationship Turned Tragic

The deceased, B. Srinivas (40) and his wife Suguna (35), were well-respected residents of Chintala Thanda. Their daughter, B. Deepika, was in a relationship with Nagaraju, who desired to marry her. However, Srinivas adamantly refused the marriage proposal, leading to a series of unfortunate events.

Elusive Love Story

Despite facing rejection, Nagaraju and Deepika eloped and got married in October 2023. Srinivas, upon discovering this, filed a missing person’s report, prompting the police to intervene. After counseling the couple, they were allowed to leave, only to relocate to Hyderabad in hopes of starting a new life together.

Tragic Turn of Events

A few days prior to the incident, Srinivas called Deepika back to the village. Upon her return, Deepika disclosed her pregnancy to her parents, who then took her to a private hospital for an abortion. This revelation further strained the already tense relationship between the families.

Violent Outburst

Unable to accept the rejection from Deepika’s parents, Nagaraju took matters into his own hands. Armed with a sickle, he barged into Srinivas’s residence in the early hours of the morning. He mercilessly attacked Srinivas, who was sleeping outside, resulting in his tragic demise. Suguna, awakened by the chaos, met with a similar fate at the hands of Nagaraju.

Desperate Escape

Hearing the commotion, Deepika and her brother Madan Lal rushed to the scene, only to be met with the same brutality. Nagaraju, realizing the gravity of his actions, fled the scene as local residents rushed to aid the injured siblings. The Chennaraopet police were promptly informed and launched an investigation into the heinous crime.
