DIBRUGARH, July 11: A young man met a tragic end in the bustling town of Dibrugarh, located in the heart of Assam, on Thursday. The victim, identified as Kamal Sonar (24), a resident of the Alubari area, was brutally attacked by a group of youths in a shocking turn of events.
The main suspect in the case, Deepjyoti Rajbanshi, was swiftly apprehended by the local authorities in connection with the heinous crime.

According to eyewitnesses, Kamal Sonar was ambushed by a group of 12 individuals near an illegal liquor shop in the neighborhood. It is believed that Rajbanshi harbored a long-standing feud with Kamal, leading to the fatal assault. The victim sustained grave injuries during the altercation and was rushed to the Assam Medical College and Hospital (AMCH) for urgent medical attention.
