PHILADELPHIA POLICE SEEK PUBLIC’S HELP TO IDENTIFY SUSPECT IN MURDER CASE
The Philadelphia Police Department Homicide Unit is reaching out to the community for assistance in identifying a male suspect involved in the murder of 43-year-old Carlton Brown. The incident took place in the early hours of Sunday, June 30, 2024, at 1400 Kerper Street in Philadelphia, PA.
Officers from the 2nd District responded to a report of a “Person with a Gun” at the location and found an unresponsive male on the sidewalk with a gunshot wound to his head. The victim, Carlton Brown, a resident of 13XX Knorr Street, was pronounced dead at the scene by Philadelphia Fire Medics #12.
After being approached by a civilian reporting a body on the highway, officers patrolling the area of 67XX Castor Avenue were directed to 14XX Kerper Street, where they discovered the deceased with fatal injuries.
DESCRIPTION OF THE SUSPECT
The suspect is described as a Black male wearing a black hoodie featuring an image of Marilyn Monroe in a Philadelphia Football Jersey with the number 11. He was last seen fleeing the scene on a bicycle.
