Firearms Seized in Separate Incidents by Boston Police Department

Over the weekend, the Boston Police Department’s Anti-Crime Units also seized a pair of firearms in separate incidents. In the South End District, Mattapan resident Danielson Jeudy, 18, and a 16-year-old male were arrested on firearm charges and warrants. Officers patrolling near Massachusetts Avenue and Washington Street observed a group of three individuals crossing the street, leading to the discovery of an active warrant for one of the males.

Arrests Made

One of the males was seen “clutching an object in his waistband,” prompting the male with the active warrant to flee towards Northampton Street. After apprehending the male with the active warrant, police noticed the other male grabbing at his waistband and attempting to hide under a car. Upon arresting him, a Keltec P11 firearm with a scratched-off serial number was found under the car. The juvenile was charged with Unlawful Possession of a Firearm, Unlawful Possession of Ammunition, and Defacement of a Firearm Serial Number, with an expected arraignment in Boston Juvenile Court.

Jeudy, on the other hand, was arrested for an active warrant related to charges of Unlawful Possession of a Firearm, Unlawful Possession of Ammunition, Shoplifting over $250, and Removal of a Theft Detection Device. He is set to be arraigned in Boston Municipal Court.

Additional Arrest in Mattapan District

In a separate incident, the Anti-Crime Units in the Mattapan district arrested Dorchester resident Denzel Harper, 37, early Sunday morning on firearm charges. Responding to a shot spotter activation at 85 Astoria Street just before 3 a.m., officers noticed a group of individuals, with Harper drawing their attention by turning away.

Upon approaching Harper, police observed the end of a Republic Arms Patriot sticking out of his right jean shorts pocket. He was arrested and charged with Unlawful Possession of a Firearm, Unlawful Possession of Ammunition, and Discharging a Firearm within 500 Feet of a Dwelling. Harper is expected to be arraigned in Dorchester District Court.
