Christian Cousins, a beloved rising senior at the school, was fatally shot in Boston on Friday afternoon. The news of his untimely death has left his classmates and teachers reeling with grief.

“He had a long life ahead of him,” expressed Christian’s classmate, Jailyn, reflecting on the loss of a promising young life. The sudden passing of Christian has left a void in the hearts of those who knew him. School officials sent out an email on Saturday informing the Stoughton High community about the devastating news, offering their condolences to Christian’s family, friends, and teachers.

Described as kind and well-liked by his peers, Christian’s friends remember him fondly. Jailyn shared, “It was definitely very heartbreaking because I did know him. I did go to school with him, and he was a nice kid. He was such a good kid. He had a lot of friends.”

The Boston Police Department revealed that Christian and a female student from Stoughton High School were sitting in a car on the corner of Gladeside Avenue and Donwood Terrace in Mattapan when the shooting occurred.
