Man Charged with Homicide After Allegedly Stabbing Former Roommate in New Kensington, Pennsylvania
A New Kensington man is currently facing charges in connection with the tragic death of his former roommate, according to Westmoreland County District Attorney Nicole Ziccarelli. The incident took place in the 600 block of Freeport Road, New Kensington, Pennsylvania.

Nicco Harris, aged 40, has been charged with criminal homicide, burglary, and criminal trespassing in relation to the stabbing death of his former roommate, David Risher. The charges were filed after New Kensington police responded to the scene on Friday and discovered Risher’s lifeless body inside the residence. Risher had been reported missing earlier in the day when he couldn’t be located by his roommate or family.
Roommates Turned Suspects
Zicarelli revealed that Harris had been living at the Freeport Road residence with Risher and another roommate until September 2023. The shocking turn of events has left the community in disbelief and mourning the loss of a life cut short.
Legal Proceedings Underway
