In a tragic incident that occurred at KM78 along Jalan Johor Baru-Air Hitam in Kluang, two lives were lost in a fatal motorcycle collision. The incident took place around 11.15pm on Friday night, leaving a local teenager and a male Myanmar national in his 40s dead.

Details of the Accident

Kluang OCPD Asst Comm Bahrin Mohd Noh provided details of the accident, stating that the teenage victim, identified as 16-year-old Luqman Afiq Amir, was riding a motorcycle belonging to his adopted father. The teenager was travelling from Machap to Simpang Renggam when he lost control of the motorcycle, veering into the opposite lane and colliding with the foreigner’s motorcycle.

Tragically, the impact of the collision resulted in severe head and body injuries for the local youth, leading to his immediate death at the scene. The Myanmar national, on the other hand, succumbed to his injuries while receiving medical treatment at Enche’ Besar Hajjah Khalsom Kluang Hospital.

According to ACP Bahrin, the teenage victim did not possess a valid driving license, and no identification documents were found on the foreign national. The case is currently under investigation under Section 41(1) of the Road Transport Act 1987.
