In a dominant performance, Jewell Loyd led the Seattle Storm to a resounding 95-71 victory over the Dallas Wings on Monday night. Loyd poured in 26 points in just 25 minutes of play, showcasing her scoring prowess and leading her team to their 12th win in their last 15 games.
The Storm, who now stand at 13-6 for the season, have been on a hot streak, winning their past eight home games and maintaining a perfect 4-0 record on their current nine-game homestand. Loyd’s stellar performance was supported by Nneka Ogwumike, who contributed 14 points, and Ezi Magbegor, who added 12 points to the team’s total.
Despite Arike Ogunbowale’s 21-point effort for the Wings, Dallas was unable to overcome Seattle’s offensive firepower. Ogunbowale, who has been a standout performer for the struggling Wings with 16 20-point outings this season, received support from Natasha Howard and Odyssey Sims, who chipped in with 15 and 12 points, respectively.
