Arrests of Most Wanted Men in Bicol and CALABARZON
Two men who were considered the most wanted criminals in the regions of Bicol and CALABARZON have been successfully apprehended in separate incidents that took place in Camarines Sur and Laguna.
Arrest of Suspect in CALABARZON
The first suspect, a 29-year-old man wanted for murder in 2019 and another similar case that occurred on June 15, 2024, was arrested in Calamba City, Laguna.
According to reports, the suspect allegedly committed the heinous crime of strangling and robbing a member of the LGBTQIA+ community. The incident came to light when another member of the community was found dead in their apartment, suspected to be another victim of the same perpetrator.
Police Chief PLTCOL. Dwight Fonte Jr. of the Sta. Rosa Component City Police Station stated, “At times, he used to drive the victim. He killed the victim and after killing them, he would take valuable items such as cellphones, money, and other belongings.”

Investigation and Arrest
The investigation revealed that the victim had been strangled using the cord of an electric fan. Despite the suspect’s attempt to conceal his identity with a mask, CCTV footage helped identify him through his movements, as recognized by the victim’s friends and family.
Further checks on police records confirmed that the suspect was already facing murder charges from a previous incident in 2019. Through the Crime Information, Reporting, and Analysis System (CIRAS) and E-warrant, authorities identified him as a Regional Most Wanted Person.
Apprehension and Charges
The suspect was eventually apprehended in a follow-up operation in Calamba City and was taken to the Sta. Rosa City Police Station. Recovered stolen items served as evidence against him, and he is now facing murder charges with no possibility of bail.
Fonte urged the public to remain vigilant and thoroughly screen potential employees to ensure safety and security in their surroundings.
Arrest of Second Most Wanted Man in Camarines Sur
Meanwhile, in Barangay Batang, Pamplona, Camarines Sur, authorities arrested a 45-year-old man who had been evading arrest since 2008 for charges of acts of lasciviousness and rape.
The suspect, identified as one of the regional most wanted persons, had managed to evade capture for over a decade by hiding in Bulacan and Metro Manila. However, through continuous monitoring and intelligence gathering, authorities were able to track him down in Pamplona.
Police Chief PMAJ. Michael Vincent Fortunado of the Pamplona Municipal Police Station credited the successful apprehension to the cooperation of the community and the diligent efforts of law enforcement agencies.
These arrests mark significant victories in the fight against crime in the regions of Bicol and CALABARZON, showcasing the dedication and effectiveness of law enforcement in ensuring the safety and security of the public.
