The victim, identified as Tori Dunn, a 30-year-old resident of Surrey, met an untimely demise on Sunday night. The release of the victim’s name was deemed necessary by Staff Sgt. David Lee to aid in the ongoing investigation.
Location of the Incident
The heart-wrenching incident took place near the 9800-block of 182A Street in Surrey. First responders from the Surrey RCMP rushed to the scene around 10 p.m. on June 16th after receiving reports of a woman with life-threatening injuries. Despite the efforts of paramedics to save her, the victim tragically succumbed to her injuries. The community of Port Kells, usually known for its tranquility, was left in shock by the disturbing events that unfolded that night.
Suspect in Custody
Following an extensive search of the area by additional police responders and the Integrated Police Dog Service, a suspect has been located and is currently in custody on an unrelated charge.
