Looking back on the 99-year journey of the press sector, Mon highlighted the significant contributions made to national development and construction. He emphasized the pivotal role of the press in disseminating the Party’s guidelines and the State’s policies and regulations.
In line with the document adopted at the 13th Party Congress, which aims to build a professional, humane, and modern journalism landscape, journalists and press agencies must uphold the noble tradition nurtured by generations of revolutionary journalists. They should enhance their political mettle, shoulder social responsibility, improve professional ethics, and fulfill their political missions to meet the expectations of the people.
At the press meeting, representatives from the Commission for Information and Education, the Ministry of Information and Communications, and the Vietnam Journalists’ Association proposed measures to support the sector’s development in alignment with the designated orientations. They also emphasized the importance of promoting the role of the nation’s revolutionary journalism.
In another news update, Vietnamese tourists are increasingly opting for outbound tours and alternative forms of transportation due to the rising cost of domestic flights. With summer approaching its peak, travel companies have reported a surge in bookings for outbound tours, especially among family groups and individual travelers. The recent launch of the Thang Long high-speed vessel, offering a four-hour journey from Ho Chi Minh City to Con Dao island in the southern province of Vung Tau, exemplifies this trend. Similarly, train tours departing from Ho Chi Minh City to various provinces are gaining popularity, providing a comfortable and scenic way to explore different regions.
As Vietnam continues to navigate the challenges posed by the COVID-19 pandemic and changing travel dynamics, the tourism sector is adapting to meet the evolving needs and preferences of travelers.
